GRIP Seminar Coming To Maine
Short-Trackers To 'Get Racing's In-Depth Perspective' In January

PORTLAND, Maine – Leaders in the short-track auto racing industry will converge on Portland, Maine, this winter to give drivers, crew chiefs and team members the information they need to take their on-track performances to the next level.

The first GRIP Seminar – 'Get Racing's In-Depth Perspective' – will be held at the Seasons Event & Conference Center from January 19-22, 2012. The four-day seminar will cover a number of topics, including setup information, tires, shocks, building wheel load, spotting and marketing.

“We've got some of the best people in the short-track industry coming to the seminar,” said Gary Crooks of Crooks Racing Inc. in Mooresville, N.C. “The idea is to have all of these people in one place to share what they know about how to get the most out of the cars that guys are racing every week up and down the East Coast and across Canada.”

Crooks Racing Inc., RE Suspension, and AeroDyn Wind Tunnel have already committed to the seminar, with more industry insiders expected to be added within the next few weeks. The seminar concludes on Sunday, January 22 with a unique roundtable question-and-answer discussion.

GRIP is designed to benefit teams from all walks of short-track racing, including PASS-sanctioned Super Late Models, ACT-sanctioned Late Models, Maritime Pro Stock and Sportsman-type cars, open-wheeled Modifieds and various weekly divisions from across North America.

Enrollment in the four-day seminar is limited to the first 100 people to register, and it includes a continental breakfast and a buffet lunch each of the four days. Multiple pricing packages are available to accommodate a variety of schedules and budgets. A special room rate of $65/night at the adjacent Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel, for both single- and double-occupancy, is also being offered. Just be sure to mention GRIP when making your reservation!
